Thank you to our MP Brendan O’Hara for thinking about our school community at this difficult time. @BrendanOHaraMP @dunoongrammar1 #StayHomeSaveLives
Argyll and Bute Council has taken the decision to close its car parks at Luss, Arrochar (Glenloin 1 and 2) and Duck Bay during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Our message for visitors is: “please stay away so we can welcome you back soon.”
Not exactly business as usual but thanks to all colleagues who joined in the first ever online Scotch Whisky APPG meeting this afternoon. Thanks also to @ScotchWhiskySWA and representatives of distillers who joined us. We certainly had lots to talk about.
Just heard the terribly sad news that we have lost the wonderful, the incomparable John Prine to coronavirus. I was fortunate to see @JohnPrineMusic at the Kelvingrove Bandstand in 2018. Not even Glasgow’s torrential summer rain could take the shine off his performance. RIP John2
Working in Co-operation with the Isle of Mull soap company we are giving away soap. Any donations will go to Mull and Iona Community Hospital. Our community is at the heart of all we do @NHS @coopuk @DSimps0106 #coopradio #thatsourstoryinTobermory2
Rather bizarrely, this period of lockdown has turned me into a bit of a bird watcher. It really is quite fascinating. I was particularly impressed by the teamwork on display outside my kitchen window by Kilcreggan’s crows at feeding time.
Stay safe, stay home
A reminder to our customers that our distilleries, bottling and retail operations will remain closed until such time as it is safe for us to return. Whisky is important to a lot of people and to the economy but nothing is more important than our people.
