Spring 2021 newsletter

The last few months have been tough for everyone but I am glad to see that with the easing of restrictions across Scotland, hope is on the horizon for an end to the pandemic and all the suffering and sacrifices it has involved.

My latest newsletter is just a snapshot of some of my work in the constituency and in Parliament. As you will see it has been a very busy period and I hope this gives you a flavour of just some of the work I am doing to represent Argyll & Bute and make sure our voice is heard at Westminster.

I have also taken the time to recognise so much of the good work that has been going on across the constituency from the fantastic fundraising undertaken by the CalMac team for the Megan’s Miles appeal to the creation of a £270,000 helipad in Campbeltown, named in memory of much-loved paramedic Robert Black. There is so much to be proud of and I hope that even though this has been a very difficult period in everyone’s lives we should recognise the good that has also been done during this time. Communities have come together like never before and I hope this increased spirit of collective responsibility, caring and kindness will continue into our new ‘normal’.

As well as following my facebook and twitter feeds you can also keep up to date with my work on the website www.theyworkforyou.co.uk This site is also a handy resource to find out how I have voted and how other MPs may have voted as well. As always, if you think I can be of assistance to you please get in touch, email: brendan.ohara.mp@parliament.uk or call the office on 01436670587. As government guidance on working at home remains in place, the constituency office will remain closed until we are given notice that it is safe to re-open our doors.
