Thank you to all of my constituents who have been in touch to express concern about the escalation of violence in Israel, Gaza and the Occupied Palestinian Territories. I share these concerns and in my capacity as SNP spokesperson for Conflict Resolution and International Human Rights I have written to UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab asking him to halt the sale of arms to Israel and do all he can to help bring about a ceasefire.

Too many innocent civilians have been killed and are being targeted in this violence and if the UK Government is serious about trying to bring about peace in the Middle East it must do all it can to intervene.
