Summer/autumn 2021 newsletter

I hope the last few months have been a bit easier for everyone as coronavirus restrictions ease and we are able to get out and about a bit more. It remains important that we still do what we can to follow guidance and help reduce the risk of transmission of the virus which, unfortunately, is still with us.

My latest newsletter is just a snapshot of some of my work in the constituency and in Parliament. As you will see it has been a very busy period especially over the summer where I was so pleased to get out across the constituency again including to Campbeltown where I was glad to finally see the magnificent Robert Black Memorial Helipad.

Parliament has also been extremely busy with a raft of legislation and, of course, events like the Taliban taking control of Afghanistan and the sudden UK/US departure, which have rightly, demanded, a great deal of attention. I hope this latest newsletter gives you a flavour of just some of the work I am doing to represent Argyll & Bute and make sure our voice is heard at Westminster.

As well as following my facebook and twitter feeds you can also keep up to date with my work on the website www.theyworkforyou.co.uk This site is also a handy resource to find out how I have voted and how other MPs may have voted as well. As always, if you think I can be of assistance to you please get in touch, email: brendan.ohara.mp@parliament.uk or call the office on 01436670587. As government guidance on working at home remains in place, the constituency office will remain closed until we are given notice that it is safe to re-open our doors.
